Manhunt intensifies for escaped murderer as search enters 10th day

The manhunt for convicted killer Danelo Cavalcante, who escaped from a Pennsylvania prison on August 31, has entered its 10th day with nearly 400 officers involved in the search efforts. Additional law enforcement personnel have been assigned as the number of reported sightings of Cavalcante in Chester County has increased. Authorities are conducting an intense 24-hour operation, utilizing tactical teams, K-9 dogs, and a helicopter. Despite several credible sightings, Cavalcante remains at large. The escape was caught on surveillance video, and the prison tower guard on duty at the time has been fired. Cavalcante was convicted of first-degree murder for killing his former girlfriend and is also wanted in a 2017 homicide case in Brazil.
