Allen Todd May, a fugitive who escaped from a federal prison in Colorado nearly five years ago, was apprehended in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he was living a lavish lifestyle under the name "Jacob Turner." May was found in possession of a Rolex watch and drove a high-end Mercedes. He had been on the run since 2018 after stealing a U.S. Bureau of Prisons truck and was serving a 20-year sentence for a Ponzi scheme. The U.S. Marshals Service had been searching for him since then. May is now in custody awaiting extradition to Colorado, and investigators are looking into the source of his wealth and whether he victimized others while on the run.
