Lori Vallow Receives Life Sentence for Murdering Her Children

Lori Vallow, the Idaho mom convicted of killing her two youngest children, has been sentenced to multiple life sentences. Her son and daughter went missing in 2019 and their bodies were later found on her husband's property. Vallow was also charged with conspiracy to commit murder in the case of her husband's late wife. During the sentencing hearing, victim impact statements were given by family members, describing the victims and expressing their grief. The trial revealed Vallow and her husband's extreme "doomsday" beliefs, including referring to the children as "zombies." Vallow's defense argued for a 20-year fixed term, while the prosecution requested the maximum sentence. Chad Daybell, Vallow's husband, remains in custody and is set to stand trial in 2024.
