"Justice Denied: Calls for Federal Investigation into Mississippi Man's Death Ignored"

Attorney Ben Crump is calling for the Department of Justice to investigate the handling of Dexter Wade's death by the Jackson Police Department in Mississippi. Wade, who was run over by an off-duty police officer, was buried in a pauper's grave without his mother's knowledge. Crump plans to have Wade's body exhumed for an independent autopsy and a proper burial. Wade's mother, Bettersten Wade, expressed her disappointment in the police department's lack of transparency and questioned their ability to serve the community. Crump and Bettersten Wade also accused the police department of having a vendetta against their family due to a previous case involving the death of Bettersten's brother. The Department of Justice is aware of the incident but has not commented further.
