Jacksonville Shooting: Tracing the Disturbing Trends in Politics and Government

Surveillance footage released by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office shows the movements of the gunman before the racially motivated attack at a Dollar General store in Florida. The suspect, Ryan Christopher Palmeter, briefly stopped at a Family Dollar store before putting on a tactical vest at Edward Waters University. Authorities believe he did not want to face any issues at the Family Dollar and got impatient. The university was not the target. Palmeter took his own life after opening fire inside the Dollar General, killing three Black shoppers. The victims were identified as A.J. Laguerre, Angela Michelle Carr, and Jerrald Gallion. The gunman's writings indicated he was motivated by racism.
