Gunfire Erupts at Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church, Suspect Killed and Multiple Injured

A female suspect wearing a trenchcoat and armed with a long rifle was fatally shot by law enforcement officers after allegedly opening fire at Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church in Houston. The suspect, accompanied by a 4 or 5-year-old child, began firing after entering the church property, resulting in the injury of a 57-year-old man and the critical condition of the child. The motivation behind the shooting is currently unknown, and investigations are ongoing. Gov. Greg Abbott has offered the state's full support, and patrols around religious institutions will be increased.
