Fatal Shooting by Highway Patrol Officer on Southern California Interstate

A California Highway Patrol officer fatally shot a man during a scuffle on a closed section of Interstate 105 in Lynwood, Southern California. The officer initially tried to talk the man off the freeway, but a scuffle ensued, during which the man used a stun gun on the officer. Video footage circulating on social media shows the officer shooting the man multiple times at close range. The California Department of Justice is investigating the incident, and the identity of the deceased has not been released.
