"Escaped Killer Danelo Cavalcante's Foiled Plan to Flee to Canada"

Danelo Cavalcante, a captured killer who escaped from a county-run prison, has been sent to the maximum-security State Correctional Institution Phoenix in Pennsylvania to serve his life sentence for murdering his ex-girlfriend. The prison, which has never had a successful escape, previously housed comedian Bill Cosby. Cavalcante is currently in a specialized observation unit and will have to submit paperwork for approved visitors. The Phoenix prison, opened in 2018, is a state-of-the-art facility with a history of only one attempted escape. Unlike the understaffed county prison, it employs 1,200 full-time employees.
