"Baton Rouge Woman Alleges Sexual Humiliation and Torture by Police in 'Brave Cave' Warehouse"

A second lawsuit has been filed against the Baton Rouge Police Department, alleging that officers from a street crime unit took detainees to an unmarked warehouse called the "Brave Cave," where they were subjected to assault, strip searches, and body cavity searches. The lawsuit, filed by Ternell Brown, claims that she was taken to the warehouse after officers found legal prescription medication in her car and was forced to undergo invasive searches before being released without charge. Another resident, Jeremy Lee, had previously filed a lawsuit with similar allegations. The Baton Rouge Police Department has disbanded the street crime unit and is now facing multiple investigations into the alleged misconduct.
