Alabama Riverboat Co-Captain Charged with Assault in Viral Brawl

A Black riverboat co-captain involved in a riverfront brawl in Alabama has been accused of misdemeanor assault by one of the white boaters charged in the fight. The co-captain, who was filmed being attacked during the melee, now faces a charge of hitting and kicking one of the white men involved. The brawl occurred when the white boaters refused to move their pontoon boat to allow the city-owned riverboat to dock. Five other individuals have previously been charged in connection with the incident.
