Alabama Boat Captain Charged with Assault in Viral Brawl

The Black boat captain who was attacked by white boaters in a viral dockside brawl in Alabama is now being charged with third-degree assault. The captain, Dameion Pickett, allegedly punched another man during the altercation. Pickett's family argues that he was defending himself against a group of men attacking him and couldn't have known who hit him. Another man involved in the brawl, Zachary Shipman, is also being charged with assault.
