"Massive Dehumidifier Recall: Millions Affected by Fire and Burn Hazards"

Gree USA is recalling 1.56 million dehumidifiers sold between 2011 and 2014 due to fire and burn hazards. The affected brands include Kenmore, GE, SoleusAir, Norpole, and Seabreeze. There have been 23 fires, 688 overheating incidents, and $168,000 in property damage reported. Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled dehumidifiers, unplug them, and contact Gree for a refund. Gree has been fined $500,000 for failing to notify the Consumer Product Safety Commission about the defective dehumidifiers.
