Israeli Forces Successfully Thwart Hamas Infiltration and Retake Gaza Border Base

New footage released by the Israel Defense Forces shows the Navy's Snapir unit foiling a Hamas naval infiltration attempt on October 7. After sinking Hamas speedboats, Snapir sailors on Defender-class boats opened fire and used depth charges against the surviving terrorists and Hamas divers. The IDF reported that the attackers attempted to swim towards the Israeli coast. The Navy's elite Shayetet 13 commando unit also battled terrorists during the assault, killing over 60 Palestinian terrorists and rescuing hostages in various locations.
