Israel Defense Forces Eliminate Hamas Attack Leader and Aerial Forces Chief in Gaza

The Israel Defence Forces have announced that they have killed Merad Abu Merad, a Hamas militant responsible for the attack on Israel on 7 October. The IDF conducted large-scale airstrikes throughout the Gaza Strip, destroying dozens of Hamas targets and killing militants. They also prevented a group of militants from entering the country from Lebanon. Israeli forces have regained control over all settlements on the border with Gaza, and the Israeli Defence Minister has stated that Israel is moving to a "full offence" against the Gaza Strip.
