Tensions rise as Palestinians mourn casualties of Israeli military operation in Jenin

Thousands of Palestinians mourned the deaths of 12 people killed in Israel's largest military operation in the occupied West Bank in over 20 years. The incursion into the Jenin refugee camp caused extensive damage and resulted in the deaths of 16 to 23-year-olds, with scores more injured. Israel claimed it was targeting Palestinian terrorists, while Palestinian officials expressed anger towards senior officials for their response to the incursion.
