JPMorgan Settles $75M Epstein Lawsuit with US Virgin Islands

JPMorgan Chase has agreed to a $75 million settlement with the U.S. Virgin Islands in relation to its dealings with Jeffrey Epstein, the deceased financier and sex offender. The settlement resolves claims that the bank facilitated Epstein's trafficking of underage women. JPMorgan had already agreed to pay $290 million to settle a class action suit brought by Epstein's victims. The settlement includes payments to support charitable organizations, law enforcement efforts against human trafficking, and attorneys' fees. The bank expressed regret over any association with Epstein and stated that it would not have continued doing business with him if it had known about his crimes.
