Artforum Editors Resign and Artists Call for Boycott Over Gaza Letter Controversy

Four Artforum staffers have resigned following the firing of former editor David Velasco. Velasco's termination came after Artforum published an open letter calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, which received backlash from some dealers and artists. Prominent artists Nan Goldin and Nicole Eisenman have also stated that they will no longer work with Artforum. Velasco expressed disappointment that the magazine, which has always stood for freedom of speech, succumbed to outside pressure.
