Tragic Hunting Accident Claims Hunter's Life in Friendly Fire Incident

A 26-year-old hunter from Illinois, Seth Egelhoff, was fatally shot in the face by a member of his hunting party while hunting waterfowl in the Bays Branch Wildlife Area in Iowa. The shooting is believed to be accidental, and an investigation is underway. Egelhoff was rushed to a medical helicopter but died en route. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is leading the investigation, with assistance from the Guthrie County Sheriff's Office and the Iowa State Patrol.
