Tragic Helicopter Crash Claims Lives in Pompano Beach

A Broward Sheriff's Office Fire Rescue helicopter crashed into an apartment building in Pompano Beach, killing a flight paramedic and a resident, while four others were hospitalized. The helicopter was en route to a vehicle crash scene when it crashed into the building. Witnesses reported seeing smoke and flames before the helicopter spiraled downward. Two crew members were able to escape, while the paramedic and resident were trapped and killed.
