Tragic Rainbow Bridge Crash Claims Lives of Married Couple

Kurt P. Villani, 53, and his wife, Monica Villani, 53, both residents of Grand Island, have been identified as the victims of a fatal crash at the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls. The incident, which involved a car traveling at a high rate of speed, resulted in the vehicle hitting a structure near the border inspection booths, exploding, and bursting into flames. The crash shut down the four vehicle bridges crossing the U.S. and Canada border in Western New York and left one border patrol officer with minor injuries. The investigation is ongoing, and there is no indication of terrorism.
