The popular 3DS emulator Citra is set to launch as CitraVR on the Meta Quest platform on January 20th, 2024, allowing users to play 3DS titles legally by dumping their games through a hacked 3DS. The application will be available in beta on SideQuest and GitHub, offering a visible 2D panel for game selection on the Quest's home interface before transitioning into a full 3DS display in-game. Developer Amanda Watson notes that performance will vary depending on the game, and original Nintendo DS titles will not be supported in CitraVR.
