Nintendo Switch 2’s 22.0.0 patch adds friend notes, GameChat boosts, and Handheld Mode enhancements

Nintendo Switch 2 firmware update 22.0.0 introduces Friend List notes (viewable and editable via the Nintendo Switch App with app version 3.3.0+), GameChat improvements (invite-to-room functionality and broader availability after update), and Handheld Mode Boost. The patch also adds video scrubbing for News/eShop, expanded Automatic Uploads data types, more GameChat languages, text-to-speech for Album/setup, storage type breakdown, an audio test for TV Sound, a region-name expansion, and Airplane Mode/Parental Controls enhancements, plus a controller firmware update and general stability improvements.
