"Google Chrome Desktop to Introduce AI-Powered 'Help Me Write' Feature"

Google is bringing its AI-powered "Help me write" feature to Chrome for desktop. The feature, which has already been introduced in various Google apps and services, generates text based on a prompt, saving users the effort of writing it manually. The AI will analyze the contents of the page to provide contextually relevant suggestions. Users will have options to adjust the writing style, such as shortening or elaborating the text, and choosing a casual or formal tone. The feature is currently hidden behind flags in Chrome and is expected to be available in Chrome 122, set for release in February 2024.
