The latest Google Maps update for Android now syncs the toggle for 3D buildings during navigation between the phone and Android Auto, allowing the setting to be controlled across devices. This update, currently in beta, ensures that the option to show 3D buildings on Maps will stop displaying on Android Auto if the toggle is switched off on the Android app, mirroring the functionality on iOS. However, the change only applies during startup and not while actively using Android Auto, with the full rollout expected in a few weeks.
