Casio Revives Iconic G-Shock with Original Design

Casio has unveiled the G-Shock DW-5000R, a faithful recreation of its original 1983 DW-5000C digital watch, maintaining the nostalgic design while incorporating modern updates like an LED backlight and eco-friendly materials. The new model features slight modifications, such as a larger case size and updated water resistance labeling, but retains the iconic ruggedness and functionality of the original. Priced at 33,000 yen (about $217), it will be available in Japan on December 13th, with global availability details pending.
