Apple's upcoming mixed-reality headset will have a tethered battery pack connected by a wire due to concerns about bulkiness and weight. The headset will have two ports: USB-C and a new proprietary power port for charging. The battery pack will be about the size of an iPhone but thicker and will have an aesthetic similar to Apple's MagSafe battery pack for the iPhone. A fully charged pack is said to offer about two hours of use, and users may need to buy multiple battery packs for longer sessions.
