TikTok is discontinuing its in-app feature and standalone app, TikTok Now, which mimics BeReal, an app that invites users to take a front and back camera photo at a random time every day. The decision could indicate a decline in interest for BeReal-style app experiences. BeReal has rolled out major changes in recent months, but only 9% of users opened the app every day. Users can still see their previous Now posts, but won't be able to create new ones.
