TikTok Ditches BeReal Clone and Implements Parent Controls

TikTok has discontinued its BeReal competitor, TikTok Now, less than nine months after its release, as the app struggled with declining users. Meanwhile, TikTok is introducing parental filters through its Family Pairing feature to give parents greater control over their children's feeds. The company also announced the launch of a "Youth Council" to collect feedback from young users. This comes as both TikTok and Meta (formerly Facebook) face scrutiny from lawmakers regarding privacy settings for young users.
