Nest Thermostat now compatible with Apple HomeKit and Matter.

Google has announced that the Nest Thermostat model released in 2020 will now support Matter, a universal smart home standard that includes Apple's HomeKit. This means that the smart thermostat can now be controlled with Apple's Home app and Siri on the iPhone and other devices. The update will be rolled out over the next few weeks via an automatic over-the-air software update. Google is also exploring adding Matter support to older Nest thermostats.
