Samsung Galaxy S24 series to feature EV-inspired battery tech for longer life

Samsung SDI is reportedly working with two Chinese companies to develop stacked batteries, which are used in electric cars, for smartphones and tablets. Stacked batteries can pack components more tightly, allowing for increased energy density and around 10% more capacity in the same space. The Samsung Galaxy S24 or S25 series could be the first to feature these batteries, which could improve battery life or allow for smaller phone sizes. Other smartphone and tablet brands may also benefit from this technology in the future.
