Payday 3 Devs Address Matchmaking, Pranks, and Online Dependency

Payday 3, the popular bank-robbing multiplayer shooter, has been plagued with matchmaking issues, bugs, crashes, and server disconnects since its launch. Starbreeze Studios, the game's developer, attributes the problems to an unforeseen error and a faulty update by a third-party online services partner. The studio is working on short- and long-term fixes, including making the game "less dependent on online services." Players have been requesting an offline mode, but it remains uncertain if that will be implemented. Payday 3 currently has a "mostly negative" rating on Steam.
