Warhammer 40K: Darktide, a first-person shooter by Fatshark, is receiving a major RPG overhaul in an upcoming October update. The update aims to add more nuance and customization to character builds by expanding the talent trees and introducing new abilities, passives, and actives. Players will progress through the new skill tree with each level-up, allowing for more experimentation and support for different play styles. The revamp is expected to make leveling up more rewarding and give players more ownership over their characters. The co-op shooter, which was delayed and set to release on Xbox Series X/S in 2023, is currently available for free with a paid PC Game Pass subscription.
