Unveiling the Evolution of Mario Wonder: From Goomba Damage to Rolla Koopas

In a recent 'Ask the Developer' interview, it was revealed that the reason Mario gets hurt when a Goomba hits him in the Super Mario Bros. game is because the Goombas bite him. However, due to hardware limitations at the time, this detail couldn't be shown in the graphics. With the upcoming game Mario Wonder, Nintendo has added an animation to depict the Goombas biting Mario upon impact, making it the first time players can see this nibbling attack in action.
