Actress Lily Gao, who played Ada Wong in Resident Evil 4 Remake and the RE tie-in film Welcome to Raccoon City, has deactivated her Instagram profile after receiving abusive messages from fans regarding her performance. Gao was scheduled to reprise the role for the Netflix Resident Evil series, which was cancelled after one season. A datamine of Resident Evil 4 Remake revealed that the Separate Ways DLC, featuring Ada Wong, is likely to arrive following the addition of Mercenaries mode in April. It is currently unconfirmed whether Gao will remain in the role of Ada Wong.
