Polygon has compiled a list of the 16 best PC games to play in 2023. The list includes Age of Empires 4, which brings new gameplay elements and distinct civilizations; Destiny 2, an MMO with smooth gameplay and regular updates; Dwarf Fortress, a simulation game about managing a fortress full of dwarves; Elite Dangerous, a space exploration game with a realistic re-creation of the galaxy; and Fortnite, a versatile game that combines battle royale, building, and more. Other notable games on the list include Hitman: World of Assassination, League of Legends, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Return of the Obra Dinn, Satisfactory, Stellaris, and Total War: Warhammer 3/Immortal Empires.
