TimeSplitters Studio Faces Imminent Closure, Embracer CEO Confirms

Embracer Group CEO Lars Wingefors has reportedly confirmed that TimeSplitters studio Free Radical is facing closure in December as part of the company's restructuring program, which has already resulted in over 900 job cuts. The studio, revived in 2021 to revive the TimeSplitters franchise, is currently engaged in a consultation process that could lead to its closure. While there is a possibility of acquisition, it remains uncertain. Embracer Group has been implementing layoffs and closures across various studios, including Crystal Dynamics and Gearbox, as part of its restructuring efforts.
