"The Last of Us Part II Remastered Introduces No Return Roguelite Mode, Combining Elements of Resident Evil and Ghost of Tsushima"

The Last of Us Part II Remastered for PlayStation 5 will feature a new mode called No Return, a roguelite adventure where players choose from 10 playable characters and battle a randomized series of combat encounters. The mode was conceived after Naughty Dog decided to update the sequel and wanted to challenge players to constantly change their tactics and behaviors. No Return offers a blend of the game's exceptional combat with video game-y elements, such as health symbols exploding out of enemies and level modifiers like invisible enemies. The mode also includes boss battles, resource chests, AI companions, and mystery zones. Completing challenges unlocks new characters, outfits, mods, weapons, recipes, and more. The Last of Us Part II Remastered launches on January 19 for PlayStation 5.
