The Division 2 Unlikely to Receive Native Next-Gen Versions.

Ubisoft is unlikely to release native PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of The Division 2 as it would mean leaving players on PS4 and Xbox One behind. The game's creative director, Yannick Banchereau, stated that they are not ready to ask players to upgrade and are trying to ensure that every time they add something, it still runs smoothly on the old generation. The Division 2 currently has a 60FPS option on new consoles, but no other enhancements. Ubisoft has not yet announced whether the game will receive a full sequel, but a free-to-play spin-off, The Division Heartland, is in development.
