The Division 2 Next-Gen Upgrades "Unlikely" to Avoid Leaving Last-Gen Players Behind

Ubisoft has stated that it is unlikely that The Division 2 will receive native versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as it would mean leaving behind players on last-gen consoles. The company is committed to supporting all generations and ensuring that new updates run smoothly on older consoles. However, a patch was released in 2021 that gave the game a 4K and 60 FPS upgrade for those consoles. Ubisoft has confirmed its fifth year of support for The Division 2 starting in June 2023, with Season 1 including a rogue-lite feature called Descent Mode.
