11 Bit Studios has released the first gameplay trailer for their upcoming sci-fi adventure game, The Alters. The game is a third-person, base-building survival game where players control a man named Jan who must rely on various copies of himself to survive and find a way home after a space mission gone wrong. The gameplay trailer showcases the use of Rapidium crystals to create different versions of Jan, known as the "Alters," who possess unique skills and emotions. The Alters is set to release on current-gen consoles and PC in 2024.
