Stormgate, a new real-time strategy game from Frost Giant Studios, made by former Blizzard employees, looks like a mix of Warcraft 3 and StarCraft 2. The game will have various competitive multiplayer modes, cooperative play, and an editor for players to create new maps and modes. It will be free-to-play with optional content for purchase, but Frost Giant insists it will never be pay-to-win. The game will be more accessible to a wider audience with simplified controls and automatic control groups. Stormgate is headed to Steam, with a multiplayer closed beta starting in July and expanding testing to co-op later this year.
