Nightdive Studios has announced that Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster, a fully remastered version of the 1995 Star Wars first-person shooter, will be released on February 28, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam. The remaster features upgraded gameplay, high-resolution textures, enhanced lighting and rendering, and support for gamepads, allowing players to experience the classic game at up to 4K resolution and 120 frames per second. Players assume the role of Kyle Katarn, a former Imperial turned mercenary, as he infiltrates the Galactic Empire and uncovers the secret Dark Trooper Project. The game includes all fourteen original levels, various weapons and enemies, and immersive environmental puzzles.
