Sony's Strategy of Not Releasing First-Party Games on PS Plus Day One is Working.

Sony Interactive Entertainment has no plans to release its first-party games on PlayStation Plus on the day of release, according to Nick Maguire, vice president and global head of subscriptions. Maguire said the company is happy with its strategy of putting games in later in the life cycle, allowing them to reach more customers. However, Sony will invest in day-and-date releases like Stray when opportunities arise. Maguire did not commit to changing the strategy for live service titles, but said the company is constantly working out the right strategy for the future.
