Sony's Cloud Gaming Future: PS5 and Handheld Rumors Gain Traction.

Sony's PlayStation Studios Mobile Division is not a new game studio that will produce its own games, but rather a cross-functional management, strategy, licensing, and support team to help bring PlayStation intellectual property to mobile phones. The team will oversee titles, invest or acquire external developers if there's strategic value in it, and work with internal and external game studios to produce high-quality mobile games. Sony has previously tried to get into smartphone gaming with PlayStation Mobile and WayForward, but this new team shows real interest in tapping Sony's internal studios to produce games for mobile.
