Lead designer Miles Holmes of BioWare has revealed story details for the never-realized sequel to Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. The game would have picked up from the cliffhanger ending of the first installment, with Eggman having taken over the world. The plot would have involved freeing populations to build an army and storm Eggman's base, but a mega god named Argus would have appeared, leading Sonic and Eggman to team up against him. Legal issues, including lawsuits filed by former Archie head writer Ken Penders, may have contributed to the cancellation of the sequel.
