Sea of Thieves is set to introduce an anti-cheat system and subscription-free solo play in its upcoming mid-season update, along with a preview of 2024 content as part of its sixth anniversary celebrations. The update will include Epic's Easy Anti-Cheat solution and the ability to play alone on a Safer Seas private server without a Game Pass subscription, while also bringing new items to the Pirate Emporium and Outpost stores. Additionally, the solo play option will be available for PlayStation 5 owners without requiring a PlayStation Plus subscription.
