"Prince of Persia Returns with New Side-Scroller and Metroidvania Games"

Ubisoft has announced a new Prince of Persia game, The Lost Crown, which is being developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and will be released on January 18, 2024. The game follows a young warrior named Sargon and his group, the Immortals, as they attempt to rescue Prince Ghassan from a cursed mountain and get caught up in a larger plot. The game is inspired by Persian mythology and will use a Metroidvania structure. The soundtrack is being composed by Mentrix and Gareth Coker. The game will be available on multiple platforms and is unrelated to the postponed remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
