Some Overwatch 2 players have seen their ranks jump from Platinum to Grandmaster due to final rank adjustments that show their true matchmaking rating (MMR). Senior Engineer Morgan Maddress confirmed that ranks should now reflect players' true MMR, but some may need to win 5 games to see their actual MMR rank. Streamers Guru and Kephri reported that numerous friends also had their ranks adjusted and moved into GM from smurf accounts that were a lot lower than their actual skill level.
