Overwatch 2's Story Missions: Limited Releases and Seasonal Gaps

Overwatch 2 executive producer, Jared Neuss, has stated that there will likely be a multi-season break between new story updates for the game. While story missions will be available in August, Neuss clarified that players should not expect new story content in the following seasons. However, Blizzard plans to fill the gaps with other narrative elements and interesting stories to keep players engaged. The shift towards story missions as the new PvE focus has frustrated some fans, especially with the announcement that story content will be locked behind a $15 paywall.
