Nintendo Pulls the Plug on Mario Kart Tour Content After 4 Years

Nintendo and DeNA have announced that they will no longer create new content for the mobile game Mario Kart Tour, four years after its launch. After the Anniversary Tour, all future seasons will consist of content from previous tours, with no new courses, drivers, karts, or gliders being added. This move suggests a potential release for the final DLC wave of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Nintendo Switch. Compared to other major publishers, Nintendo's focus on mobile games has been minimal, with only a small percentage of its earnings coming from the platform. Mario Kart Tour is the second highest-earning mobile game for Nintendo, surpassing Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.
